We had a clear idea of what we wanted from our garden room and a picture of what it might look like. We decided against an ‘off-the peg’ building put together from a ready-made kit, hoping for something unique and of fantastic quality. A few short months after our initial meeting with Mark from myspace, we were enjoying our brand new gorgeous, bespoke, personalised space.
From that first meeting in January, we knew that working with Mark and his team was going to be a positive and enjoyable experience – and so it proved to be. They took care of everything, from getting planning permission to that last lick of paint on the walls. Mark consulted with us every step of the way and myspace carried out the work in a highly professional manner.
Our new room looks like a little black barn, snug in the furthest reaches of the garden as if it had always been there. It was lovely to enjoy the empty space and just wallow in the finish: a beautiful solid oak floor and large oak French doors, perfect smooth white walls and beamed ceiling.
We admire and enjoy this space every time we are in it .. and that is every day. It coolly invites you in during these scorching days of summer and we fully expect to share its cosiness in the depths of winter.

“Mark of Myspace Garden Studios planned, designed and built a studio, which fully met my brief of providing a work and storage space for all my crafting, embroidery and floristry needs. Mark put much thought and consideration into the type of daylight lighting I would require, as well as location and number of electric points for my sewing machines and equipment. Throughout the entire build Mark and his team, from the ground workers to electricians, were nothing but hardworking, helpful, friendly, patient and reliable. No request was too much trouble for Mark and from start to finish his attention to detail was meticulous. The quality of materials used and final finish were outstanding. “I couldn’t have wished for a better studio and am so glad I chose Myspace to build one in my garden. The rear end of my garden was a totally wasted space and in fact an eyesore with years of junk piled up there; I now have a beautiful studio for painting in and a lovely view up my garden.
I couldn’t recommend Myspace more highly. The design was perfect for my requirements as were their ideas on how to maximise the light and space, with suggestions I would never have thought of such as putting in a picture rail so I’m able to hang pictures and exhibit my work. I am able to work in it in all seasons as the insulation is so good.
Mark was the most reliable and hard working builder I have ever come across working within budget and time schedule. I also found him to be friendly and a pleasure to do business with and easy to have around. The finished studio is a dream come true and I love all the details which give it such a unique character such as the shingled roof and the recycled Iroko panels on the outside. Mark’s enthusiasm and energy were impressive and the finished result more than met my expectations.”
